It has been a while since my last blog, what can I say, selling far too many safety signs and not enough time to look after the web site. As usual traffic signs and warning signs have been very popular, with health and safety signs and fire safety signs coming a close second.
August tend to be a busy time for the safety signs as many people are quiet due to leave and health and safety issues are addressed during down time. One of our customers recently realised they needed exit signs on all there internal doors along with the standard fire exit signs, apparently one sign is no longer enough.
Photoluminescent signs are also going well 3m have just brought out a new 3mm pvc which has the gemglo covering which we can print directly onto with our new Anapurna flat bed printing machine. Health and safety signs, traffic signs, safety signs, warning signs, fire safety signs and exit signs can all be printed directly onto the board. Thus making the signs more hard wearing and quicker and so cheaper to produce whilst maintaining if not improving the quality of our signs.
Our new printer can also print on any board upto 5mm thick and at 1480dpi - serious quality. Safety signs are essential for PPE but wouldn’t everyone like a door with a full colour print of lara croft, much more exciting than a fire exit or health and safety sign.
